About Me

A little bit more about me…

Again, my name is Mindy Pitzner and I am a Minnesotan studio artist who also works as a Financial Analyst in the Minnesota Air National Guard. I first studied studio art at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, MN, achieving a BA in Studio Art with minors in Art History and Arts Administration in May 2021. From 2018-2021, I worked for the Bethany Art Department and other local art and nonprofit organizations (Emy Frentz Artist Guild and Open Door Clinic), developing hands-on experience in public art events and collegiate art education administration.

Today, I live with my husband in Minneapolis, MN, where we both work full-time for the Minnesota Air National Guard. I also am working towards an Masters in Arts Administration at Southern Utah University with future goals of formally serving my local arts community and its artists. My life as a financial analyst and studio artist is a unique mix of analytical problem-solving in the office and creative work outside the office. Contrary to many individual’s understanding of the United States Military, there is plenty of opportunity and need for arts appreciation and cultural development. My career with the Air National Guard has challenged me physically, mentally, and spiritually while allowing me to give back to my community and support my family.
